Exporting Salesforce metadata sounds simple until you actually need to bulk export multiple objects into a single Excel/XLS file.

Most Salesforce admins end up opening objects one by one, reviewing fields manually, and combining everything into spreadsheets themselves. What should take minutes often turns into hours of repetitive work, especially in orgs with large numbers of standard and custom objects.

Managing bulk object exports manually not only slows down productivity but also makes Salesforce metadata documentation difficult to maintain.

Salesforce admins and developers often face several challenges during manual export processes:

  • Opening and reviewing Salesforce objects individually
  • Manually copying object and field details
  • Combining multiple exports into one Excel sheet
  • Increased chances of missing important metadata information
  • Difficulty handling large Salesforce orgs with hundreds of objects
  • Time-consuming documentation and audit preparation
  • Repetitive administrative work during migrations and analysis
  • Poor visibility across exported object data

BOFC simplifies this process by allowing users to bulk export multiple Salesforce objects into a single Excel/XLS file through an easy click-based operation. Instead of handling metadata manually, teams can generate organized exports quickly and manage Salesforce documentation more efficiently.

Below is a step-by-step guide to export multiple Salesforce objects into a single Excel/XLS file using BOFC.
