Custom Settings in Salesforce are a powerful tool for storing configuration data that can be accessed programmatically across your org. Unlike Custom Metadata Types, Custom Settings are stored as data objects, which makes them incredibly flexible, but also means they require deliberate management, especially during org migrations, environment refreshes, audits, or documentation reviews.

For Salesforce Admins and Developers, the need to export Custom Settings comes up more often than most people expect. Whether you’re replicating configuration from a production org to a sandbox, preparing a backup before a major deployment, or simply documenting your org’s current state for compliance, getting that data out quickly and accurately is essential.

The problem? Salesforce doesn’t offer a straightforward native solution for bulk-exporting Custom Settings. Doing it manually means clicking through individual records in Setup. Doing it programmatically means writing and maintaining custom scripts, which is not exactly what an Admin wants to deal with on a tight deadline.

BOFC (Bulk Object Field Creator) fills this gap with a clean, no-code solution. Through its intuitive interface, BOFC allows you to select and export multiple Custom Settings, including both Managed and Unmanaged types, along with their complete records, all in a matter of clicks. It’s the kind of capability that should have always been built into Salesforce, and BOFC delivers it without the complexity.

With BOFC installed in your org, the entire export process comes down to a handful of steps. Here’s how it works.

    Note:
