Clone Salesforce Custom Settings

Maintain Consistent Settings Across Environments in Minutes

Custom Settings are widely used in Salesforce to store application configurations, feature flags, integration parameters, and org-level preferences. But recreating custom settings manually across environments can be slow, repetitive, and prone to errors.

BOFC (Bulk Object Field Creator) enables admins and teams to clone custom settings in Salesforce quickly and accurately — within the current org or across external orgs — in just a few clicks.

No manual rebuilds. No missed values. No configuration drift.

What BOFC’s Custom Settings Cloning Delivers

Clone List and Hierarchy Custom Settings

BOFC supports cloning both List and Hierarchy type Custom Settings with ease. Whether your organization uses user-level configurations, profile-based settings, or application-wide defaults, BOFC helps replicate them accurately without rebuilding configurations manually.

Replicate Custom Setting Definitions and Values

Clone not only the custom setting structure but also its associated records and values in a single operation. This ensures all configuration data, field settings, and business logic remain consistent across environments.

Move Configurations Across Current or External Orgs

Easily migrate custom settings between sandbox, developer, UAT, and production orgs — including external Salesforce environments. This simplifies deployment processes and reduces dependency on manual metadata migration activities.

Clone Multiple Custom Settings in One Operation

Save significant administrative time by cloning multiple custom settings simultaneously instead of handling them one by one. BOFC streamlines large-scale configuration management for enterprise Salesforce environments.

Preserve Consistency Across Environments

Ensure configuration uniformity across all Salesforce orgs by maintaining the same custom setting structures and values everywhere. This helps avoid deployment mismatches, configuration gaps, and unexpected behavior.

Reduce Manual Setup Effort

Eliminate repetitive manual configuration work and minimize human errors during org setup or migration projects. BOFC automates the cloning process, allowing admins and developers to focus on higher-value tasks.

How It Works

Step 1

Open the BOFC Home > Click “Clone Custom Settings”

Step 2

Select Clone as the operation mode, then choose the Source Org to clone custom settings from.

Step 3

Step 4

Select the single or multiple custom settings which need to be cloned.

Step 5

Once the “Click here to Clone” button is clicked, it will update the status against each row for all the custom settings.

Great for Peace of Mind on Access Security

Mohit and team have a great product here that for us help to quickly gain peace of mind on our org access security. Lot of features, but we found the ability to quickly and easily audit our profile and permission set settings decreased our manual efforts by 2x-3x. They are very responsive and open to suggestions, including new features for the roadmap.

Great time saver

We were looking for an easy way to save ourselves time building fields manually and discovered BOFC, not only was this a great way to speed up object creation but we also found lots of other great tools like the Usage tool to enhance and keep our org healthy. Excellent value for money.

Great Tool - Wish I had found it YEARS ago!!!!!

While only just starting to scratch the surface with this, it has been a great help in being able to see “in one place” rules and triggers and actions without having to open multiple tabs or g back and forth. This will make it much easier to streamline and minimize our workflows and processes.
