Yes, we can "Update" or "Import" Profile / Permission Sets using BOFC. In this feature, user will be able to clone the profile/permission sets from any external Salesforce org (org in which BOFC is not currently installed) to the org in which BOFC is installed.

In this feature, user is provided with an option to:

  • "Override" any existing profiles / permission sets with the same name
  • "No-Override" which means only "Clone" or "Create" the ones which are not available.
Yes, BOFC can export any kind of profile or Permission Sets in few clicks. The metadata of Profiles / Permission Sets is exported as single XLS with multiple tabs for each profile / permission set

  • Unmanaged component means the Properties / Components which are created in this org and are NOT part of any (Managed/Installed) packages/apps.
  • Managed component means the Properties / Components which are NOT created in this org and are part of any (Managed/Installed) packages/apps.
On Export / Compare page of BOFC, user has an option to choose whether they want to perform action on "Unmanaged" or "Managed" or both type of components.
Yes, BOFC is capable to export profile / permission sets creation and modification details. User can export a xls sheet which has the following details:
  1. Profile Name
  2. Custom Or Standard profile
  3. Name of User who Created and its Creation date/time
  4. Name of User who Modified and its date/time
Yes, BOFC has a feature which can help user to export the relationship between Profiles, its users & the Permission sets. This feature has capability to export data with respect to Profile or User or Permission Set.
